Shearwater

Shearwater was formed in 1999 by a couple members of Okkervil River in Texas. Thus far they have created 7 albums and 2 EPs with another album set to release sometime next year. Their music would probably be described as indie/folk rock and it has a very peaceful feel to it with lots of piano and celestial sounds. I would say they are kind of a mix between Sigur Ros and Iron & Wine.

This video "Hidden Lakes" comes from their newest album "The Golden Archipelago ." And I'm not gonna lie, the eyelashes are weird as shiz, but the music is beautiful so I can look past it.

There is only one way to be happy - that's by choosing to be happy.

The Mission

But Also Mostly consists of two best friends who enjoy listening to music, but over the years we have seen the great impact music can have in our lives and those around us. The whole purpose of this simple blog is to share the music we come across and the music we love to bring you quality music for a quality life.

With that said, we can't do it ourselves and we need your help! we would ask all of you out there to share your thoughts, music, revelations, or joys about music with us at butalsomostly@gmail.com. In this way we hope to begin to enrich more and more lives and in some small way create a better place to live.

So listen to the music, share your own music, share your thoughts, or go out and find some new music on your own. But don't stop there, let the music have a positive impact on your life and then share that impact with those around you.
